Self Portrait

I've been telling coach that I want some more pictures from his Iraq experience.  Ones that have more of him in them and just fun ones.  He brought up that I haven't taken any photos of myself, I gave him the excuse that it is really hard to hold my big SLR and take a photo.
So when Tristan and I went and played outside, I took one!  It is shot at an wide angle, cuz it had to be in order for me to do it hand holding :-)
But who really wants to look at me....
Yeah, he's not any better looking!!

Now these next pictures BEWARE..you will be blinded with pure CUTENESS & AWESOMENESS!!

A Total Papa Johnson Face!!!!
So Funny..He won't let go and he is so close to the ground.

I have no explanation.......

Baby Neigh's

Big T has yet to call a Horse a Horse.  He insists on calling them Neigh's ( ya know what a horse says).
My oldest sister came up to Idaho to pick up some nice bloodline cutting horses for her employer and she was able to make a visit out of it :-).  Which was great for Big T, he got to beat up on his Nephews who are 14 and 13, and hang out with his Auntie, oh yeah and he got to love on the baby foals!!!

I caught some Air

In life I have moments, and maybe others do too, where I feel like I'm doing okay, I'm surviving.  I don't really feel like I'm drowning per say, but I'm not flying either.
The other day I was like a bird sort of soaring, and I hit a thermal pocket and was risen to newer heights!!
I caught some much needed "air"
I was carrying around some hurt and anger, I had thought I had moved on and let it go, but apparently I hadn't. I let it go!!  I've come to sort of accept some things about me. That are me!!  I am going to stop wasting my energy on pointless crap and people.
I'm on my way to stop comparing myself with others.  There are tons of others out there that will always be more in shape than me, or more social and friendly, or more...... whatever, that's just life, right?!

I also caught some real air yesterday..not a lot, but enough to make me proud!! I'm not really into the jumps, but I couldn't let my nephews show me up!!  I ended up enjoying it more than I thought!!!

Easter Suit

Growing up every year us girls got a new dress for Easter Sunday.  I'll have to admit that not all the time did I like my Easter dress.  Did your mom's put you in matching outfits?  Mine totally did!!  I already hated dresses, so to be matching with one of my sisters was torture!  I look back at pictures, and when I was younger from 1-6ish the matching was cute, but any older, when I started caring what I wore ( or really just dressing myself ), I wasn't not on board with that tradition.

I still like the idea of getting a new Easter outfit for a tradition, and I'm betting that at one point I will make my kids match.  As a parent, I can see the fun in it now :-).  This Easter I bought Big T the cutest outfit.  I can not sew AT ALL so all of the future outfits will have to be bought, unless I talk my mom or my little sister into sewing something for me.

So here is the start of my own childrens' Easter Sunday outfit...with  pictures of course!!  This was a quick pic, because I was running late for church (imagine that) and it is actually this Sunday.   Easter Sunday here was Stake Conference, and I didn't want to drive the hour and half to attend.  I know, I know I should have, but I'm not perfect.

What a Handsome Boy!!

Drawer Designs

I am no master wood carver at all.  In fact this was really my first time ever!!  So I wish it looked more clean and professional, but I did it and I still think it looks alright.  I really had this whole design thing in my head from the beginning, so I probably should have been practicing, but I apparently don't operate that way.

My Projects

My dresser broke awhile back and I decided that I was going to build me a new one.  Since I'm building one, why not a set? Three dressers it is!!
Coach told me to take pictures through the process..so I'm posting some of the photos I've taken.  I forget to take the camera, mostly because it is so dusty with all the sanding I've been doing.

So now I have all the dresser drawer fronts sanded and routed (ready for some extra detailing and staining) I'll post pictures of them soon, I forgot my camera today.  Plus we have the the last dresser face done, and the sides of the smaller dresser cut out and pocket drilled.

My finished coat-rack....
Yep..its Chrome :-)

Branding

Last Saturday we branded calves.  I strapped Big T on my back and we got in the corral and took photos. Trying to stay out of the way at times proved tricky; I ran Big T into a broke off fence log, I almost landed on Big T, but I caught my balance pretty quickly (stupid calf!!).  Through it all, Big T loved it!!  He would stand on the bottom bar and look over my head, and try to climb up my back to get and even better look.   I had a sore back after branding too!!  I did miss throwing down calves, ya know getting my tuff on!

So here are just some photos I managed to get.... (didn't want to bore you with more, I have a habit of posting lots of photos :-) )
Nathan (my sister's hubby) lovin' the smoke.....hehe

How many people does it take to take down a calf?
That was the first bunch of calves branded, Big T went and took a nap so we missed the second batch, but Big T did get to visit some baby bum lambs.
