Coach and I have decided to never try to celebrate Valentines Day, and this year the day went well for us.
I think I put a curse on us. The very first Valentines Day that we had as a couple I called off our engagement and gave back his ring. ( there was an valid reason.. i swear ).
After that one I tried to make up for it on the first Valentines as a married couple, that was a disaster!!
I tried a couple more times and it was still horrid. So this year I really just ignored the Holiday, and It worked..we had a good day! No fight or disaster occurred. :-) !!
But there is a curse, because the normal bad day that would have happened on Valentines Day happened today. We really just can't escape this time of month without the curse. At least it wasn't a fight :-) Not that we fight.
I just wished I owned a pair of Rose Colored Glasses so I could see the good in my life and instead of seeing what i don't have and how I'll never measure up. And somehow I need to get rid of the Rose Colored Glasses that I have for everybody else. I am jealous of those that faith comes easy for and that easily feel God's love, because for me it is a struggle everyday.
